I'm erasing so much/hard, it's destroying my paper

Well, I just found out a downside for me drawing traditional. I make a lot of mistakes and errors on my drawings, so I have to erase and redo a small little detail, a lot. But sometimes, I will erase so much, it will rip my notebook paper apart. This has already happen to me twice, and I'm already getting sick of it, because I just lost about an hour or two's wroth of work on drawings.  Is there any tips other than using less pressure while drawing and erasing that I could use?

You're drawing on notebook paper? Yeah, that stuff's kinda weak compared to actual drawing paper.

I use printer paper for my traditional pics, it's cheap and tough! :D
